Dear Friends, We know that there are many events unfolded in the news lately. Be it the H1N1, education issues on PPSMI, by-election, MACC vs TBH, economic crisis, block of corridors development, 1M new fund, Buah Pala and the latest is demo on ISA. So we as a normal farmers were and will be splashed every single day with these stories. Even if you do not read newspaper or watch TV, yet it will be a talk and gossip during our normal coffee break or at our visit to fertiliser shop or hardware shop and wet market. It doesn't matter how busy you are with your crops diseases, farming activities and kids schooling, people will ask your view on above events and you could not run away from it. At a very least, you tend to nod or either you say single word or show a sign of yes or no if you are too bored to add your opinion. So most people must have an opinion, pro and con to a certain point which depend on where it get the news from, how their mind was influenced to give the conclusion or the majority just follow mass opinion from media. Either side, agree or not, we are entitled to voice out our views. It is our rights, people rights, farmer rights or now a famous word is Human Rights. Then we as a farmer says something that comes out from our tiny brain ........ OOoo, H1N1 is being handled effectively by our government and able to stop the widespread throughout the country..... OOooo i agree that PPSMI is being scrapped... OOooo we should let the police handle the MACC vs TBH case..... OOOooo our government finally managed to recover economic crisis and reduced the unemployment.....Yesssss we have ECER, NCER, Iskandar corridor to develop our country ....... Gooodddd we can invest our money is 1M fund.... Aaahhhh why certain parties are so stupid to organise the rally... make other people life in trouble, trafic jammed, business drop, etc. And at the other side, people said that our government failed to handle economy which led to inflation, higher food price and many jobless. Our election is manipulated by SPR. Many politician are corrupted, abuse of power and built big mansion. Those people joined ISA demo is good as ISA is cruel which should be abolished. Our policy is one sided which benefit certain quarters and cultivate cronyism.............. Ooooo you trust our government. See what you get... you've being screwed up in every angle of your life. Hey!!!! which side are you??? Opposition ahhhh......... At the end what the farmer get? What benefit that bring back to farmer like us? Do we have an extra income? Do our crops grow better and give us more profit? Do you manage to invest more in whatever fund? Can you build big mansion like those top people? Food price is cheaper now? No need to pay for your kids schooling? Sorry to say that I am NOT getting anything and the answer to above questions is I DON'T have enough money to do all those thing!!!! I am what I am now but a bit smarter after being able to digest the actual "play" of these issues. We in fact do not gain anything rather than talking and sometimes argue and involve in a quarrel with certain group then divided us into smaller section rather than create unity and harmony. Finally all of us will go back to our daily routine of farming and as usual unless or until one day our kids is educated enough to get a good job to change our future. It is again depend on which side they are in. If not then we are as we are today till our last breath. Final advise from us. Do what is best for you and family while be happy and enjoy the daily drama and play by daily news. Be it from TV or our newspaper, you need to follow on what is happening around you. But do not pressure your mind to the extend of having high blood pressure. GOD bless you all, insyaAllah. "Membanting tulang bermandi peloh demi sesuap nasi. Aku masih seperti dulu" Salam dari Pak Tani.
